Years of curating lighting solutions across the breadth of Indian architecture — residential, corporate, civic, industrial.

A consultancy first. A supplier second.

We do not sell luminaires. We design the way light meets a room. Working alongside architects, interior designers and project owners, we translate intent into specification — selecting from a curated portfolio of global brands to assemble lighting schemes that endure.

GOVERNMENT · SMART CITY MISSION

Smart City Coimbatore, Coimbatore

Coimbatore entered the Government of India's Smart Cities Mission in its first round, in January 2016, with lake eco-restoration, mobility and public infrastructure at its core. We executed a ₹5–6 crore lighting scheme across the city's ancient interconnected lakes — Selvachinthamani, Valankulam, Kurichi, Kumaraswamy, Krishnampathi and Periyakulam — now reborn as recreational waterfronts with walking tracks, boating and public plazas. At Race Course, one of the city's premium civic addresses, we specified RGB colour-changing systems and distinct walkway illumination for safety and aesthetics, choosing a 100% LED approach over solar for consistent, high-output performance.

HERITAGE & MONUMENT

Thiruvalluvar Statue, Kurichi Lake, Coimbatore

A flagship installation of the Coimbatore Smart City Mission, this 20–25 ft stainless-steel figure is built entirely from 1,330 interlaced Tamil letters — one for every Kural written by Thiruvalluvar. With natural gaps between each letter, the brief was to keep the form and script crystal clear at night without glare; we mounted K-Lite uplighters at calculated angles on all four sides, concealed within the sculpture itself, so the letters now read even more clearly after dark than in daylight.

G.D. Naidu Bridge, Coimbatore

The elevated corridor runs along Avinashi Road, one of Coimbatore's primary urban arteries, connecting key commercial, residential, airport, educational, and industrial zones. A tribute to G.D. Naidu, renowned inventor and industrialist who significantly influenced Coimbatore's industrial development — lit with a mix of functional roadway lighting and mild architectural enhancement befitting this prominent city structure.

PRIVATE TOWNSHIP · INFRASTRUCTURE

Karthipuram Township, Neelambur

A 250-acre private township in Neelambur, developed by Unnamalai Promoters with Ramani Sankar Architects — roughly 650 residential and commercial plots, alongside schools and colleges. The brief called for lighting on par with Bangalore International Airport, so we worked with Keselec Schréder on lux calculations and specified around 650 conical poles across the layout, an installation valued near ₹2.5 crore. We're also completing a 15-metre media tower with imported Philips fixtures from the Netherlands, plus the full indoor and outdoor lighting for the project's office.

03Sectors

Four atmospheres. One discipline.

Across every brief, our approach remains the same — listen first, specify with care, and let light do the work of architecture quietly.

Residential lighting atmosphere
— 01

Residential

Layered, intimate, infinitely tunable. Lighting that follows the rhythm of a home.

Commercial lighting
— 02

Commercial

Designed for circadian wellness, productivity, and the brand of a space.

Industrial lighting
— 03

Industrial

Engineered for performance — safety, visibility, energy efficiency at scale.

Government lighting
— 04

Civic

Durable, dignified lighting for public infrastructure and institutional spaces.

04Approach

We believe light is a material — measured in lumens, but felt in moments.

Every brief begins on site. We walk the space, study how daylight enters, where shadow falls, how the room will be lived in. Specification follows feeling. The product list is the last document we write, never the first.

It is why we have remained a consultancy through three decades — not a catalogue.

05Voices

"They walked the site with us before we'd finalised the floor plan. By the time the architect was ready, the lighting brief was already poetry."

Rajesh Kumar Director, TechCorp Solutions

"What sets Anoora apart isn't the products. It's the restraint. They know when to recommend less."

Priya Sharma Principal, Hospitality Group

"Three decades of working with this team. They've lit our offices, our homes, and our factories — each entirely different. Each entirely considered."

Amit Patel Chairman, Patel Industries

"Our home doesn't feel lit. It feels held in light. That's the only way I know how to describe what they did."
